Imsirovic KO's Shah With Two Pair

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ali Imsirovich
Ali Imsirovich

There was a pot of about 125,000 in the middle with the board reading {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}. From middle position, Ali Imsirovic moved all in to force Ankim Shah to make a decision for his tournament life.

Shah sat back silently and considered it. He landed on the decision to call as he leaned forward and put his chips in the middle. Imsirovic tabled the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for two pair. Shah got up and showed his beaten {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} as Imsirovic took the large boost to his stack.

Rudolph Puts Sylvia Into a Decision

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jesse Sylvia raised to 9,000 and got called by Christian Rudolph next to him.

The flop showed {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the duo checked to see the {10-Hearts} on the turn. Sylvia led out for 21,000 and Rudolph called.

The {8-Diamonds} landed on the river and after a check from Sylvia, Rudolph fired 54,000. Sylvia went deep into the tank and folded his hand after a few minutes.

Jorge Hou
Jorge Hou

There was about 45,000 in on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} river and Jorge Hou asked the dealer to spread the pot so he could get an accurate count.

He then took his time before betting 40,000 and Sergio Aido on his left quickly folded.

Both players are down a few chips from their start-of-day stacks here in Level 13.

Swift Loses Flip to Neri

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Down to around 55,000 in chips, Katie Swift three-bet jammed over a raise by Kenneth Neri and was quickly called for the following showdown to unfold.

Katie Swift: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Kenneth Neri: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

The overcards got there on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts} board and that spelled the end for the Grosvenor sponsored pro from the UK.

Porter Flushed Away by Maloney

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Heads-up to the {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, the action was checked by Cliff Maloney in the big blind and Rep Porter bet 6,000. The check-raise to 30,000 followed and Porter then pushed all-in for around 80,000 to get called by Maloney.

Rep Porter: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Cliff Maloney: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}

The {10-Spades} turn instantly left Porter drawing dead and the {a-Hearts} river didn't matter anymore.

Lazrus Sniffs It Out

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn, Daniel Lazrus from under the gun was involved in a hand with a player in the small blind. With the board reading {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} the small blind checked and Lazrus led out for 10,000. His opponent responded by raising to 28,000. Lazrus considered for a moment before making the call to send the two players to the river.

The {8-Hearts} river double paired the board and the small blind checked. Lazrus checked back and turned over {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, good enough to take down the pot. "Nice call," said the small blind somewhat half heartedly as Lazrus continued his steady ascent.

Barbosa Doubles Up

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jose Barbosa fired for 10,000 from the button. After a call by the small blind, Hoon Jung put in a reraise to 37,000. Barbosa, after a bit of thought, moved all in for 79,000. The small blind got out of the way, and Jung made the call, putting Barbosa at risk.

Jose Barbosa: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Hoon Jung: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Barbosa was in great position to double up, and the {5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} runout ensured that he would do just that, as he scooped the pot, leaving Jung with just a handful of big blinds left.

Elsewhere in the room, Chris "The Armenian Express" Grigorian was eliminated after he ran his pocket jacks into pocket eights and an eight came on the flop.

Aces Versus Kings for Thompson

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

All the chips went in the middle preflop between Richard Martell, at risk with a short stack and {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} in his hands and against Gary Thompson who held nothing less than {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

Martell didn't find any miracle throughout the board {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Thompson added the pot to his stack.
