Kim Gets Another Call

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Bryan Kim
Bryan Kim

Three players were on the river as the board read {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Bryan Kim bet 22,000. Jon Turner folded after some thought.

The third player in the hand called right as he said "You have an ace right?" and sure enough, Kim did as he tabled the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and said "Barry Greenstein" to take down yet another pot.

Wittmeyer Gets a Double

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Seungyeol Kim opened from early position and then called the 67,000 jam from Brandon Wittmeyer.

Brandon Wittmeyer: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Seungyeol Kim: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Wittmeyer paired up on the {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop and then made trips on the {k-Hearts} turn. The {4-Spades} completed the board and Wittmeyer secured the double up.

Lavenburg's River Bluff Gets Through

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action was picked up with 110,000 already in the middle and a board of {4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. With three players still in the hand, action checked over to Abdullah Alshanti on the button. He fired for 38,000. Michael Lavenburg, in the small blind, put in a raise to 85,000. The player from early position folded, and Alshanti made the call, giving heads-up action to the river.

After the {5-Hearts} hit on the river, Lavenburg moved all in. Alshanti, who still had nearly 500,000 in front of him, would need to put his tournament life on the line to make the call. This sent Alshanti deep into the tank.

"This is freaking sick. How can I fold? This is so sick," Alshanti said.

He kept repeating that sentiment while staring daggers at both the cards and Lavenburg, who was staring downwards and did not break that gaze.

"What am I missing?" Alshanti thought to himself.

He reiterated his apologies for tanking to the table several times, but his tablemates had no qualms.

"You are good enough to bluff I know that," he thought out loud as the time for a decision neared.

Eventually, Alshanti called the clock on himself. A few seconds after time started ticking away, he folded {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} face up, the second-nut flush. Lavenburg pushed his cards towards the dealer, but not before turning over the {j-Hearts}, showing that he did not have a flush, and Alshanti had certainly folded the best hand and missed out on a massive double up.

Imsirovic Cannot Bully Table

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ali Imsirovic opened to 12,000 from early position and received a single call from a player in middle position.

On the {3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop Imsirovic continued for 10,000 and was called.

There was no slowing down after the {a-Spades} turn with Imsirovic firing off 36,000. Again, his opponent called

Imsirovic resigned on the {j-Clubs} river, check-folding before the middle position player even had a chance to put out a bet. It seems that, despite being at a table of short stacks close to the bubble, the other players will not simply let the Bosnian pro roll right over them.

Cynn Takes One from Esposito

John Cynn
John Cynn

The board read {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds} in a raised pot when John Esposito bet 32,000 from the big blind. John Cynn tanked for some time and made the call.

The {3-Spades} completed the board on the river and this time Esposito checked. Cynn opted to bet 57,000 and Esposito considered it for a minute before folding {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} face up.

Said Above a Million With Jacks

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Oliver Said raised to 15,000 and then called a three-bet shove by a shorter stack with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. He was up against {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and held thanks to the {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Said then won another smaller pot and showed pocket jacks once more, which beat {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} in showdown.

D'Ambrosio Can't Hold With Big Slick; Run Ends on Featured Table

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

Jimmy D'Ambrosio spent the last few hours on one of the featured tables for the PokerGo stream. Unfortunately, his run has just came to an end after getting it in good.

In a hand from the live stream, Josh Meyer shoved from the small blind and D'Ambrosio called from the big for his last 64,000.

Jimmy D'Ambrosio: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Josh Meyer: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} was an interesting one, as D'Ambrosio paired his king, but Meyer also paired up and picked up a flush draw. The turn {6-Spades} was an unlucky one for D'Ambrosio as Meyer made trip sixes and left him drawing thin.

The {8-Hearts} river was not what he needed and he was gracious in defeat as he said some kind words to the table.

"Good game sir," said Nick Schulman on the stream. "Enjoyable sweats, the Jimmy D sweats."

"He will be missed," added Ali Nejad.

D'Ambrosio has five cashes so far in this series, including two top-25 finishes. Although he bows out on Day 3, the poker world has been put on notice by one of the best players and personalities in the game.
