Arieh Climbs Back Up; Levi Loses Ground

Level 3

Stud 8 or Better

Josh Arieh: 55Q8510J

The board of David Levi was just mucked while Josh Arieh had already meshed his cards to represent the strength of his hand as they determined how many chips he would receive. Across all streets, Levi and Arieh had invested 7,200 chips and the set of fives for Arieh scooped the entire pot as Levi had no qualifying low to chop.

That brought Arieh back close to the starting stack while Levi dropped to nearly half.

Hal Rotholz
Hal Rotholz

Stud 8 or Better

Hal Rotholz: KK6/6K4Q
Andrew Robl: XxXxXx/8658
Brian Brunner: XxXxXx/327J - folded seventh street

Picking action up on seventh street with approximately 15,000 in the three-way pot, Andrew Robl bet, which got a fold from Brian Brunner, but Hal Rotholz now raised. Robl then made it three bets to go which lifted Rotholz from his seat to examine Robl's board more closely.

Rotholz then put in a fourth bet which Robl just called. Rothold showed his full house of kings full of sixes while Robl mucked his hand to send a healthy scoop to Rotholz.

Badacey

Four ways after the first drawing round was completed, Clayton Mozdzen checked and Chad Eveslage bet, picking up calls from Yueqi Zhu, Larry Tull and Mozdzen. The latter and Zhu discarded two while Eveslage and Tull took one new card.

Again it was Eveslage who bet when checked to and he received three calls as all four players then discarded one each. Eveslage bet, earning calls from Zhu and Tull while Mozdzen folded.

Eveslage tabled the 7 / 7542 to earn half the pot while the 6 / 943A of Tull received the other half.

Taylor Arrives and Increases Stack

Level 3

Pot-Limit Omaha

Thomas Taylor had just arrived and sat down but almost instantly won a very healthy pot to boost his stack. By the time the turn showed 743Q, Taylor checked out of the big blind and Josh Arieh bet 8,000 into a pot of around 12,000.

Taylor check-raised by splashing in several red T-5,000 chips and Arieh quickly folded.

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

No Limit 5 Card Draw

With the drawing round already completed, Patrick Leonard bet 7,000 and that sent David Moskowitz deep into the tank. He needed more than two minutes to call and then mucked when Leonard showed the KQJ109 for a king-high straight.

Having lost a portion of his stack during the opening stages, Leonard moved back to almost the starting stack again.

Buchalter Gets Two "Very Good Cards" With One Problem

Level 2

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Yehuda Buchalter raised to 700 on the button and got called by Nacho Barbero in the big blind. Each player drew two and checked.

On the second draw, Barbero drew one while Buchalter still needed two. They each checked again.

The players drew the same number of cards on the final draw and Barfbero then led out for 1,500.

Buchalter peeled his new cards and said "the first one is very good", and then checked his other new card saying, "the second one is very good also. Same card though."

The players at the table laughed as Buchalter mucked his hand, then laughed and commented more as Barbero showed 10x9x8x7x6x for a bluffed straight as the pot was pushed his way.
