Petleshkov Scores Massive Double Close To Money Bubble

An early position player opened to 22,000 and it folded to Viliyan Petleshkov on the button who moved all in for 215,000. The small blind folded and Michael Rodrigues made the call in the big blind with a bigger stack. The initial raiser got out of the way and the cards were on their backs.

It was a classic flip situation, and when the board ran out 764J5, it was the jacks that held up to win the flip and score a massive double up for Petleshkov close to the money bubble.

Andrews decided to look Shimizu up and he revealed Q8 for broadway. Andrews couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Shimizu.

Buckner Scores Double Elimination

The PokerNews team was called over to a table after the fact to hear a hand that had just happened.

A short-stacked player in early position moved all in for 45,000 and Robbi Jade Lew moved all in over the top for 82,000 next to act. It folded over to Steven Buckner in the cutoff who made the call to put both players at risk. The rest of the table got out of the way and the cards were shown.

Lew was in great shape preflop with the better kicker, but when the board ran out 863Q6, it was the turned queen that hit to score Buckner the pot and send two players to the rail.

De Silva Gets a Fold From Heath

Upeshka De Silva was heads up against Ben Heath on a completed board of 758J4 with a bit over 100,000 in the middle. De Silva fired a 92,000 bet into the middle from the small blind and Ben Heath went into the tank from the cutoff.

Heath eventually landed on a fold and De Silva claimed he held aces with the ace of clubs.

Andre Akkari busted at another table.
