Drinan Hits a Straight Flush

In a capped pot pre-flop, Connor Drinan, Dominik Baud, and Scott Packer saw a flop of 4♠K♣6♠ where Drinan got his last chips in the middle.

Baud and Packer called to the 5♠ turn, where Packer called a bet on the button. The river came the 9♣ and Packer called another bet.

Drinan turned over 3♠2♠8♦7♦ for a straight flush as Baud showed A♠7♠10♥Q♦ for a no-good nut flush and Packer had A♣A♥3♦5♦ for a low to take half the pot.

"Miami" John Cernuto is also seated at this table with around 275,000.

Heads-up on a flop of 4♠10♣5♦, Nitesh Rawtani called a bet from Jerry Wong as they saw the 6♣ fall on the turn.

Both players checked to the A♥ river, where Rawtani led out with a bet. Wong quickly folded to surrender the pot to his fellow big stack.

"He had one chip. Now he has 20," a tablemate said about Granteed.

"Chip and a chair, baby," Granteed replied.

Hao Zhang raised from middle postion before seeing Gene Pyo stick in a three-bet from late position. Zhang made the call and both players took a flop of Q♦J♦8♣.

Zhang check-called a bet from Pyo and the dealer burned and turned the 2♥. Zhang again check-called a bet from Pyo, sending both players to an 8♠ river card.

Zhang check-called a bet from Pyo once more and exposed the K♣K♠6♣3♠ while Pyo turned over the A♦K♦K♥J♣. Both players were playing their kings, prompting the dealer to send half the pot to each of them.

The turn came the J♦ and Spriggs got his last chip in as Scully and Fitzhugh each put in bets.

The river came the 9♦ and Scully fired out into the side pot. Fitzhugh open-folded AxAx as Scully turned over A♣J♥K♥6♣ for two pair. Spriggs had 10♦9♣5♠4♠ for a missed flush draw and was eliminated.

Shaun Deeb was also eliminated from the tournament shortly after returning from break.

Both players checked through to showdown and Zhu showed the Q♠9♠3♣2♣, prompting his opponent to frustratingly muck his cards as Zhu pulled in the pot.
