Sowers’ Full House Eliminates McClellen
Level 21
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kyle McClellen raised to 50,000 in early position and received calls from Mike Sowers on the button and the player in the small blind.
The flop showed A♣J♣6♣, which drew checks from the small blind and McClellan. Sowers, though, bet and McClellan called after the small blind folded. The turn produced A♠ and fireworks.
McClellan led into Sowers for 120,000, and Sowers responded by moving all in. McClellan looked at the board, and then called.
Sowers: 6♦6♥
McClellan: A♦K♥
McClellen found his trip aces up against Sowers’ full house and needed help on the river. The 8♠, though, gave Sowers the pot and eliminated McClellen.
