Saliba’s ‘Big Slick’ Takes Down Davies

Level 10 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Yang Wang started the preflop action innocently enough, and then fireworks ensured.

Wang raised to 45,000 in early position, only to see Seth Davies to his immediate left go all in for his remaining 95,000. The action then folded to WSOP bracelet winner Justin Saliba, who was in the small blind. Saliba looked at his cards, and announced a four-bet all in for 495,000, which commanded Wang’s attention.

Wang appeared uneasy in his seat, shifting around as the 30-second clock ran before he used a time extension button, which granted him an additional 30 seconds to act. As the dealer started a 10-second countdown, Wang folded his hand, leading to Davies and Saliba to table their respective hands.

Seth Davies: A7
Justin Saliba: AK

The dealer ran out 83K on the flop, then 9 on the turn and K on the river to give Saliba trip kings and a knockout blow on Davies.
