Huge Scoop for Deutsch as He Slow Plays a Set
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Joel Deutsch raised in late position to 7,000. Raul Torres Jr. in the dealer position decided to three bet to 17,000. With a quick call, both players were headed to a flop.
The flop came A♦6♣10♦, as Deutsch elected to check. Taking no time, Torres Jr. bet 35,000. Deutsch would find a call rather quickly leading to the turn.
A brick in the form of the 3♥ changed little as a second check pushed Torres Jr. to shove all in. Deutsch was quick to call as he flipped over 10x10x having Torres Jr. drawing dead with his A♥Q♣. With both monster stacks clashing, Deutsch soared through the chip ranks with a stack now amassing approximately 420,000 and eliminating Torres Jr. from the event.
