Morrell Makes a Tough Call To Chip Up
Level 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Action started after the flop of Q♠5♠4♣, as the player behind the dealer led out for 6,000. Both Gerald Morrell and the other player in the hand called to the turn.
A 10♥ on the turn slowed down the action with all three players checking around.
The board paired on the river with the 5♥, leading both early position players to check. The last acting player made a swift bet of 12,500, receiving one call from Morrell.
Morrell flipped Q♥J♠ to take down the pot. With this win, Morrell gained a stack of 90,500.
