Morris Doesn't Believe

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Arthur Morris opened to 10,000 preflop and was then three-bet to 36,000 by the button. Action folded back around to Morris who stared at his opponent for a few seconds before he made the call and went to a flop of 2K8.

Morris checked to his opponent who then bet 25,000 and Morris quickly check-raised to 100,000 to cover him.

His opponent paused for a few seconds but eventually made the call to put himself at risk.

Button: KQJJ
Arthur Morris: AKJ6

The board ran out 99 for Morris to scoop the pot with his kings and jacks, ace kicker while the button was sent to the rail.

"You know, it's not very often I really just don't believe someone...Usually, I would just fold in that spot, but I really didn't believe him."

Winter Forces Out Drinan; Garza Arrives

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Connor Drinan repotted to 32,500 out of the small blind only for Sean Winter to then repot. That sent Drinan deep into the tank and he eventually folded after using three time banks.

While the hand played out, Lou Garza was waiting for one player to get high-carded to a new table and that happened to be Aaron Katz. The open seat brought Garza right next to Arthur Morris, who he had defeated in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship last night.

Do and Hannawa on the Rise

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Ramin Hajiyev tangled in a three-bet pot with Anh Do and the latter bet the K52 flop for 48,000 when checked to. Hajiyev folded and was soon after nowhere to be found anymore. He was replaced by Kristopher Tong, who recently ran deep in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.

The same table then saw Danny Hannawa bet the pot on the QJ108 turn and Kazuhiko Yotsushika reluctantly folded the 1010 face-up. Soon after, Yotsushika also vanished from the table.

Selbst Is Out

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst made her first WSOP appearance since 2017 in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, but unfortunately, it was short-lived.

Selbst played a big pot against Quan Zhou and got all her chips in the middle before losing to Zhou's full house as the Chinese high roller now sits with a stack of around 400,000.

Sebst, who spoke to PokerNews earlier this year about her return to live poker, was momentarily seated by fellow poker star Phil Ivey, who now sits with an empty seat to his right.

Jamasi Gets a "Shove" Through

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Three ways to the KQ103 turn, Farhad Jamasi announced all-in and moved his entire stack forward. The maximum bet by then was only 66,000 and he forced one fold already with David Williams getting out of the way. Krasimir Yankov on the button tanked for a while and let go,too.

"I even had it this time," Jamasi said and flashed the J87. He then declared that this playing style would be the only way to win.
