2023 World Series of Poker
Benjamin Juhasz in the small blind had 2,200 out in front and Chris Brewer then made it 8,300 to go from under the gun. Gregory Shuda was the only caller and the 10♦9♦7♠ flop was checked by Brewer. Shuda bet 15,000 for Brewer to call as they headed to the 6♦ turn.
Brewer bet 40,000 and Shuda folded.
On a turn board of A♦J♣K♦8♦, Ka Kwan Lau checked to his heads-up opponent, Caleb Furth, who bet 4,000 into the pot of 7,000.
Lau made the call and the duo saw the K♣ fall on the river.
Lau then led out for 11,000 and Furth quickly folded his hand to award him the pot.
Meanwhile, Josh Arieh took his place in the two-seat.
Philip Long raised it up to 1,800 in the cutoff and was called by Jeremy Ausmus on the button. Joseph Lamkin also came along in the small blind. The 8♠7♥4♦ flop was checked around and that led to the 6♠ turn. Lamkin bet 3,200 and forced two folds.
On a heads-up completed board of 4♦10♠3♣7♠4♣, Robert Emmerson bet the full pot of 49,800 and the action was then on Farhad Jamasi, who thought for a second before he flicked out a chip to make the call.
Emmerson then tabled 10♣8♠7♥7♦ for sevens full of fours and Jamasi held a brief hand funeral before sending it into the muck.
They are now up to 65 entries in the field which is rapidly growing and the following players have all taken a seat.
Three ways to the K♦J♥9♣10♣ turn, the action checked to Bradley Anderson and he bet 8,000. Norbert Szecsi folded while Gjergj Sinishtaj check-called. Sinishtaj checked again the 6♥ river and Anderson bet 16,000 to win the pot uncontested.
In a battle of the blinds, Scott Bohlman bet the A♦A♥J♥J♦ turn for 500 and Anthony Zinno called. They checked the K♠ river and Bohlman announced a pair of sixes, to which Zinno replied "set of tens" as he exposed his 10♣10♥10♠6♠.
Bohlman flashed his 10♦6♦6♥2♥ and giggled as both shared most of the same cards. Zinno took the pot with two pair, aces and tens.
