Jansen Doubles Through Kerber

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 3,500 ante

Bradley Jansen opened from under the gun only to see Kelvin Kerber three-bet to 20,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back around to Jansen who responded by moving all in. Kerber made the call with the covering stack to put his opponent at risk.

Both players stood pat before turning over their hands. Kerber held 9x8x6x5x3x but was just beaten to the pot by Jansen's 9x8x6x4x2x to hand the at risk player a full double and leave Kerber on the shorter side.

Morris drew a four to pair up, and Ivens found a queen to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Sternheimer Dispenses Free 2-7 Advice

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 3,000 ante

Kelvin Kerber raised 5,000 from late position, and from the big blind Lawrence Brandt popped it to 18,000. Kerber looked at his stack, back at the raise, and folded.

While this was happening, Philip Sternheimer, resplendent in a purple velour track suit, explained his thought process on a previous hand. "I could be doing anything there. You don't know. The only thing you know is, I'm not making a hero fold with a nine perfect."

Vonk Pats

Andrew Yeh opened to 5,000 from early position and was called by Marcel Vonk on the button.

Yeh took one with Vonk standing pat after which Yeh checked. Vonk tapped the table and turned over Jx8x6x5x2x, which was good enough to take down the pot and keep him adding to his stack.
