Pardy Is Over

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player in the cutoff opened to 1,400, then was raised to 5,000 by Jon Pardy in the small blind. The cutoff called and checked back on the flop 437.

The 5 came on the turn, and Pardy bet 4,500. The cutoff didn't back down and called to see the river 10, where Pardy moved all in for 13,200 chips.

Just a few seconds to analyze the board were enough for the cutoff to call. "You got me," said Pardy immediately, laughing and mucking his cards. As he was all-in, the dealer revealed his cards, KQ. But it was the losing hand, as his opponent had A3 for a bottom pair.

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action was opened in middle position to 800. The cutoff called and the small blind called. Action was then on Ahmed Karrim in the big blind who went into the tank for a moment before putting in a large three-bet to the tune of 6,000. Action was then back on the original raiser who didn't seem to be ready to let it go and made the call.

The 834 flop was met with a bet of 3,300 from Karrim. The original raiser went into the tank for about a minute before laying it down.

Karrim scooped a big pot with little resistance.
