From the cutoff, Norbert Szecsi opened to 320,000. Brandon Lulov three-bet to 2,200,000 from the button, the blinds folded and Szecsi four-bet all in. With only 50,000 chips left, Lulov didn't wait long before calling.
Brandon Lulov: A♥2♥
Norbert Szecsi: A♦A♣
Bad timing for Lulov to go all in, as he couldn't do anything against Szecsi's pocket aces on a board of Q♠4♥6♠8♦3♠. Lulov finished in ninth place for $86,281.
Tyler Cornell opened to 275,000 from the cutoff and Angelina Rich defended from the big blind.
The flop came 3♠3♦3♣. Rich checked, Cornell bet 175,000 and Rich made the call.
Rich check-called another bet on the J♣ turn, this time for 700,000.
The river was the 5♦. Cornell fired a third barrel, this time for 2,500,000. Rich snap-called and Cornell immediately mucked his hand, allowing Rich to drag another huge pot without having to show her cards.
After an open by Pedro Garagnani on the button, Ian Matakis in the small blind reraised to 370,000. But the action didn't come back directly to Garagnani, because Norbert Szecsi decided to four-bet to 2,550,000 from the big blind.
Garagnani quickly folded, but not Matakis, who moved all in for 2,690,000. Szecsi didn't have much to add, so he called.
Ian Matakis: A♣J♦
Norbert Szecsi: A♠K♣
In a very bad shape, Matakis was ready to leave on 5♣8♥Q♣6♣. However, luck was on his side as the river J♣ gave him a jack, completing his flush and giving him the best hand. His stack increased to 5,700,000.
A few hands later, it was Brandon Lulov's turn to go all in for 1,170,000 chips against Szesci.
Brandon Lulov: A♠2♥
Norbert Szecsi: Q♠8♠
With the best hand, Lulov had no problem winning the pot on J♦A♥4♣K♠3♦. Like Matakis, he doubled up to 2,700,000. On the other hand, after these two pots, Szecsi was down to 7,400,000.
William Stanford opened to 240,000 from the button and Norbert Szecsi three-bet to 750,000 from the big blind. Stanford moved all in for 2,800,000 and Szecsi quickly made the call putting Stanford at risk.
William Stanford: J♠J♣
Norbert Szecsi: K♠K♥
The board ran out 4♦Q♠3♣3♥K♦, ending Stanford's deep run while Stanford accumulated even more chips.
On the button, Daniel Lazrus opened to 240,000. In the small blind, Weiran Pu reraised to 775,000, keeping a single red chip of 5,000 in his hand.
The big blind folded, and Lazrus called, showing his cards, even though Pu wasn't completely all in. But it is just a detail as Pu quickly threw his chips in front of him.
Weiran Pu: A♥5♦
Daniel Lazrus: A♦4♣
"Chop chop," said Pu, laughing while filming the action with his phone. And it started as a split on the flop K♥J♠7♦. But on the turn came the 4♦, giving the lead to Lazrus. And on the river, the dealer revealed... the 5♥, giving Pu a better pair!
"No chop chop," added Pu, who doubled up to 1,775,000.
Danny Tang opened to 900,000 from the small blind, committing almost all of his stack. Tyler Cornell reraised from the big blind to put Tang, who made the call, all in and at risk.
Danny Tang: A♣10♠
Tyler Cornell: A♦J♣
"Come on," Tang said when he saw he was pipped by a slightly bigger ace.
He did pick up some outs on the Q♠J♦3♣ flop and the 9♣ turn left him open-ended. The 7♥ river was a brick and he was sent to the rail, while Cornell collected the rest of his chips.
