Andrejevic Gets Lucky on Van Der Spuy

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy bet 8,000 from under the gun on a flop of 2103 before Andjelko Andrejevic, in early position, raised to 30,000.

Van Der Spuy then asked how much was in the pot before he moved all in for around 70,000 and Andrejevic snap-called.

Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy: 10962
Andjelko Andrejevic: AJ32

Both players had two pair, but Van Der Spuy was ahead with tens and deuces. The turn, though, brought the J and Andrejevic made jacks and threes.

Van Der Spuy didn't improve on the K river and the South African was sent to the rail.

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Heads-up to a turn of K7610, Yong Keun Kwon bet 20,500 and [Removed:422] called on the button. Both opted to check the A on the river and Kwon revealed the A987 for a ten-high straight, which won the pot. That put a small dent into the big stack of Soyirgaz, who appears to be the early chip leader.

James Park
James Park

James Park and Arthur Morris built a pot of around 165,000 heading to the 1097 flop when Park, in the big blind, attempted to move all in for around 190,000 but was forced to keep 30,000 behind.

Morris tanked for a moment before shoving all in and Park called for his remaining chips.

Park had QJ109 for two pair, while Morris showed KQXxXx for a straight draw. The board ran out 38 and Park finished with a straight to double up and leave Morris on a short stack.

Suvarna Picks on Chartier

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Sam Chartier bet 40,000 on a board of 4J910 and Santhosh Suvarna called in early position.

The river came the A and Suvarna led out for 110,000. Chartier didn't take too long before he folded.

"I don't bluff you," Suvarna told tablemate Keith Lehr.

"I know you don't bluff me, but you will bluff him. Because I'll call. I don't like folding," Lehr replied. "I have a feeling you're going to be a pain in the ass."

Chartier got away from his table nemesis right after the hand as he was moved to a different table. Matthew Wantman is also seated here along Suvarna and Lehr.

Keijzer Calls Down Paddock

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Robert Paddock bet 16,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 5KQ and was called by Ka Kwan Lau on the button and Ronald Keijzer in early position.

All three players checked the 3 turn and action checked to Paddock again on the K river.

He fired out another 40,000 and Lau got out of the way. Keijzer, though, tossed in the chips to call.

"King," Paddock said, but Keijzer showed J5 for a flush to take the pot.

At the same table, Alex Foxen has amassed a big stack of around 800,000.
