Petroni Doubles on Jenkins at the River

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Short stack Giovanni Petroni moved all in from early position for 135,000. Action folded to Timothy Jenkins in the big blind who looked at his hand and smiled while shaking his head. Despite this, he called the three big blind shove.

Giovanni Petroni: K9
Timothy Jenkins: 72

There was no wonder Jenkins had a wry smile when he looked down at the worst starting hand in poker. Both players hit a pair on the KQ2 flop, but Jenkins improved further on the 2 turn to make trip-twos.

However, Jenkins suffered a suck out on the river as Petroni hit the K to make an unlikely boat of kings full of twos to secure the double up.

Petroni dragged in the pot and quipped to Jenkins "You could have found the fold there!" with a beaming smile on his face.

Jenkins Scores A Double Knockout

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Giovanni Petroni jammed from late position for his last 230,000 and Robert Urbatsch three-bet jammed from the button for 1,015,000. Timothy Jenkins woke up with a hand in the big blind and called to set up a three-way runout with Petroni and Urbatsch at risk.

Giovanni Petroni: K9
Robert Urbatsch: AA
Timothy Jenkins: JJ

Urbatsch was in great position to win a massive pot and more than double up and the 933 flop didn't change that, but when the turn came the J, suddenly he needed one of the last two aces in the deck to survive.

The river was no such help, though, as it came the 7 and secured over a 2,000,000 chip pot for Jenkins to catapult him into the chip lead while Petroni and Urbatsch stood to head toward the exit.

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In a three-way raised pot, the flop read 10810 and Kane Kalas checked in the big blind to Eric Mizrachi who bet 125,000. Only Ricardo Nakamura decided to call on the button.

The turn fell the K and Mizrachi checked. Nakamura bet 160,000 and after some thinking, Mizrachi called.

The board was completed by the 7 and Mizrachi checked again. Nakamura sent a bet worth 375,000 and Mizrachi went deep into the tank before folding his cards reluctantly.

"Bluff or no bluff?" asked Mizrachi to Nakamura, adding he had an eight. Nakamura didn't give any information and added the chips to his stack.
