Alosh Sends Defending Champ to the Cage

Level 3 : Blinds 0/0, 300 ante

On a three-way turn of 9Q66, Moshe Alosh checked to Shota Nakanishi who then moved all in for his last 11,300. Moshe Avraham got out of the way and the action was back on Alosh who went into the tank.

After a good while, he slammed his chips into the middle to make the call, putting last year's champion at risk.

Shota Nakanishi: K10
Moshe Alosh: A10

"Ace or flush, ace or flush!" Alosh announced, even though he was already ahead with his ace-high.

The river came the J to give Nakanishi a straight, but unfortunately for him, it also gave Alosh the nut flush to scoop the pot.

Nakanishi was out of add-on chips and was eliminated from the tournament, but was seen reentering for another try.

Negreanu elected to lead out for 16,000 and Sasaki went in the tank. After close to 30 seconds, Sasaki folded and the pot was shipped to Negreanu.

Three-Way All In

Level 2 : Blinds 0/0, 200 ante

Chris Brewer limped in from under the gun and Daniel Negreanu bumped it up to 2,400 from the cutoff. The button called and Chris Brewer moved all in for over 40,000. Negreanu pulled out his camera to start filming and made the call for less and the button put in their stack of 13,700.

Daniel Negreanu: KK
Chris Brewer: AK

The flop came J97 to give the button an open-ended straight draw and flush draw. The turn fell the K to complete the straight but give Negreanu a set. The river came the A and the button tripled up. Negreanu won close to 20,000 in the side pot and Brewer was left with a short stack.
