Split Pot Between Merlin And Chaitin
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Natan Chaitin opened from middle position, and Pierre Merlin in the big blind was the only player to call to see 4♠J♠A♣.
Chaitin bet 500 on this flop, and Merlin raised to 1,600. Chaitin decided to three-bet to 4,500. And after a few seconds, Merlin called.
The turn was the 5♥, and Chaitin fired a second barrel of 5,000. Merlin check-called. However, the action slowed down on the river 5♦, as both players checked.
Chaitin revealed A♦4♦ for two pairs, which he first hit on the flop and then on the river. Merlin showed A♠7♠ for a missed flush draw, but he also had the same two pairs as Chaitin, resulting in a split pot.
