Tsugunari Toma opened to 500 from the hijack and was three-bet to 1,400 by Andrew Butler on the button. Action folded back to Toma and he four-bet to 5,100. Butler called.
Both players checked on the 8♠7♣2♥ flop and then Toma fired 12,200 into the middle on the J♥ turn. Butler called.
The 8♦ completed the board and Toma bet 14,400. Butler thought for a while and decided to look Toma up with a call. Toma tabled A♥Q♥ for a whiffed flushed draw and Butler turned over 7♥6♥ for eights and sevens, which was enough to drag the large pot early in Day 1d.
