Munaf Makes Big Call on River
Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
The player in the cutoff raised to 2,000 and Kamran Munaf called from the big blind. The flop came out 9♠2♣4♣ and the cutoff made a continuation bet of 2,500 and Munaf called.
With the clubs starting to appear the turn was the 7♦ and the cutoff kept up his aggression and placed a bet of 15,000. Munaf made the call although it appeared reluctantly.
Now there were straight possibilities galore and the river was the 5♠. Munaf checked for the third time and the cutoff put his chips in the middle for 125,000.
Munaf said, "I knew that was coming". He then let out a big sigh and counted his chips slowly and suddenly made the call.
Kamran Munaf: J♥9♥ for the pair of nines.
Player in the Cutoff: 10♥8♥ for the missed straight draw.
