Magnificent Call By Magnicari Sends Ku Packing
Level 23
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Doyun Ku opened from the hijack and Amit Makhija and Jason Magnicari called in the blinds.
Makhija and Magnicari both checked on the 10♣3♣5♥ flop and Ku continued for 80,000. Only Magnicari called. Magnicari check-called again on the 8♥ turn as Ku sized up to 250,000.
Magnicari checked once more on the 5♠. river and Ku wasted no time moving all in for 675,000. Magnicari took some time and asked for a count.
"I think I'm supposed to call here," he said before doing so.
Ku shrugged and turned over ace-high with A♣K♦, which was no good against the top pair of Magnicari with J♠10♦ to mark Ku's elimination.
