Runner-Runner Quads Keep Rakuss Alive
Level 27
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Clement Richez raised to 200,000 from the hijack before Eduards Rakuss shoved all in for 980,000 in the cutoff. Dean Hutchison asked for a count on the button before calling. Richez got out of the way.
Eduards Rakuss: 10♣10♦
Dean Hutchison: K♦K♥
Hutchison had woken up with kings and had Rakuss found himself at big risk of elimination after the flop came 2♠2♥3♣. The turn, though, changed fortunes greatly with a 10♥ that gave Rakuss a full house. The 10♠ came on the river and Rakuss made running quads to double up.
