Pham in Payne After Bricking River
Level 32
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Joshua Payne opened to 600,000 from early position and Cong Pham called in middle position.
Payne continued for 650,000 on the flop of 7♣J♥K♦ and Pham called. Payne sized up to 1,900,000 on the 6♣ turn and Pham again called.
Payne checked on the J♠ river and Pham checked back. Payne announced two pair and showed 4♣4♥. Pham held his cards a bit longer and shot them into the muck.
"I put you on queen-ten," Payne said.
"Ace-queen of clubs," replied Pham after bricking his two draws.
