Joshua Payne Eliminated in 14th Place ($430,200)

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Joshua Payne
Joshua Payne

Joshua Payne made it 1,600,000 to go and Jose Aguilera three-bet to 4,500,000 on the button. Daniel Weinman on the button went into the tank and carefully studied the stack size of Aguilera before he four-bet jammed for 29,100,000.

Payne called all-in for 19,600,000 total and Aguilera looked up both opponents to create a three-way all-in!

Joshua Payne: KK
Jose Aguilera: QQ
Daniel Weinman: JJ

The A74 flop changed nothing as Payne remained in the lead. Weinman then spiked the J on the turn to send Payne into a world of pain.

Nothing changed on the 3 river and Payne was sent to the payout desk in agonising fashion while Weinman sky-rocketed up the leaderboard, leaving Aguilera with a short stack.

Lewis Scoops a Five-Way Pot

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Dean Hutchison opened to 1,600,000 in middle position and picked up four callers along the way. Five players went to the flop of 1094 and the action checked through to the Q on the turn.

It checked around once more and the Q paired the board on the river. Hutchison finally threw in a bet of 2,600,000 on the river and only Lewis called on the button. Hutchison tabled his hand but mucked as Lewis held KQ for trip queens to claim the pot.

Maceiras Climbing Early

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Sachin Joshi raised to 1,800,000 from early position with A7 before Juan Maceiras made it 4,600,000 from the button with 109. Joshi went into the tank for a moment before he four-bet to 9,300,000. Maceiras called and the flop was Q48.

Joshi checked the flop, and Maceiras checked back to see Q on the turn.

Joshi checked again on the turn, and Maceiras bet 6,000,000 — enough to force the fold and take the pot.

Juan Maceiras raised to 1,600,000 from under the gun and Daniel Weinman three-bet to 5,000,000, earning the pot uncontested.

Joshua Payne then made it 1,600,000 to go on the button, picking up the blinds and antes without resistance.

Payne made it 1,600,000 the next hand again with 77 and Juan Aguilera three-bet to 6,500,000 with AK in the big blind.

Payne called to see the Q82 flop. Aguilera checked after one minute of consideration, and Payne then bet 3,700,000 to receive a call.

The K turn saw Aguilera shove and Payne folded.

Dean Hutchison: AA
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: 1010

The flop came 742 and Jachtmann picked up a flush draw, getting "oohh's" from the crowd. The 5 and 4 runout bricked out and Hutchison's pocket aces held on for a double up through one of the big stacks.

Weinman Takes From Aguilera

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Jose Aguilera limped the small blind with A8, and Daniel Weinman, who held 105, checked in the big blind to the J63 flop.

Aguilera checked. Weinman bet 1,200,000, and the Spaniard came along to see the K on the turn.

Aguilera checked once more prompting Weinman to make it 3,200,000. That ended the action right there as Aguilera folded.

Aguilera then raised the button to 1,800,000 and Weinman three-bet to 5,400,000 in the small blind. The initial raiser glanced at his table neighbour and Weinman couldn't help but grin before they engaged in some table chat.

One minute later, Aguilera sent his cards into the muck.

Payne and Prydryk Take Two Early Pots

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Joshua Payne raised to 1,600,000 from the button with 65 and Jan-Peter Jachtmann called from the small blind with Q10. Alec Torelli looked down at Q8 and defended his big blind.

The flop was 54J, and both players checked to Payne, who bet 2,300,000. It was too much, so Jachtmann and Torelli got away from it.

Two hands later, Ruslan Prydryk raised to 1,600,000 with A10, and Jose Aguilera called from the big blind with 66. The flop was 993 and both players checked. They also checked the Q turn before A fell on the river. Aguilera checked once more and subsequently folded when Prydryk bet 1,500,000.
