It was a classic flip situation, but when the board ran out Q♥10♦3♣3♠A♣, it was the river that fell like a ton of bricks for Segers who was sent to the virtual reentry desk for a fresh stack of 20,000.
Shawn "bucky21" Buchanan opened to 2,000 from middle position and was called by Michael "MU65907" Ung out of the big blind.
Buchanan continued for 2,650 after action checked to him following the 10♣J♦5♣ flop with Ung making the call to see a turn.
The 3♦ turn saw Buchanan fire again, this time making it 4,000 to go. Ung responded by moving all in for 10,230 and was quickly called.
Michael "MU65907" Ung: J♣7♣
Shawn "bucky21" Buchanan: A♦Q♦
Ung had outflopped Buchanan to take the lead but would need to fade many outs heading to the river. The at risk player prevailed after the 9♣ completed the board, handing Ung a full double.
