Daniel Buzgon raised to 110,000 from middle position, Spencer Champlin then went all in from the big blind and Buzgon called.
Spencer Champlin : 5♦5♥
Daniel Buzgon : A♠K♥
The Q♣8♣7♥9♠7♦ runout was enough for Champlin to secure a double up.
Looking around the Horseshoe Bronze section one table has many big stacks in play.
Eric Blair had only around 400,000 chips when he pushed all in from the button. He got called by Matthew Dodd in the big blind.
Eric Blair: K♣6♣
Matthew Dodd: AxKx
The board was 8♥3♥5♠4♣A♠ and Blair’s deep run in the tournament ended.
Action was on the turn with a board reading Q♦3♥2♠9♠, Richie Allen was all in and behind Stan Yuk Lee
Richie Allen: Q♣J♣
Stan Yuk Lee: K♣Q♠
The 7♠ on the river was of no consequence and Allen's impressive tournament was over.
Richie Allen was in the small blind and raised to 80,000 and Matthew Dodd made the call in the big blind. The flop arrived with A♠9♠K♠ and Allen bet out 80,000 and Dodd called.
The turn 3♣ had Allen bet again for 145,000 and Dodd three-bet all in for 730,000. Allen had to take some time to think about it and in the end he made the call, putting Dodd at risk.
Matthew Dodd: 3♠10♠
Richie Allen: Q♠K♦
Dodd yelled, "Please hold, please hold", and it worked as the 10♣ fell, leaving Dodd with the flush which beat Allen's pair of kings.
All the money went all in before the flop for Spencer Champlin’s effective stack of 635,000 chips. His opponent was Daniel Buzgon.
Spencer Champlin: A♣J♠
Daniel Buzgon: A♦8♣
Champlin was ahead and the J♣4♥2♠ flop had Buzgon drawing very thin. The turn 7♣ and river 9♥ gave Champlin the double-up.
Level: 25
Blinds: 25,000/50,000
Ante: 50,000
The chips went all in before the flop, but not without a little controversy. Jeffrey Vertes had raised from the hijack and Oblip Kuppusamyvenkates three-bet from the small blind. Vertes put a pile of chips in the middle and flipped over his cards, the J♦J♥.
Vertes mistakenly thought Kuppusamyvenkates had gone all in, but he had one 25,000 chip behind. After the tournament director explained that Kuppusamyvenkates gets to make a decision as he would if he didn’t know the cards, he put in his last chip in the middle.
Oblip Kuppusamyvenkates: A♣Q♦
Jeffrey Vertes: J♥J♦
The board ran out K♣10♥4♣3♣3♠ and Kuppusamyvenkates was eliminated.
