Daniyal Gheba raised under the gun with A5 to 400,000.

Eddie Ochana peeked down at 77 in late position and elected to flat. Brent Hart called out of the big blind with A4.

Hart drilled the flop when the dealer fanned Q44, and he checked. Gheba continued with aggression with a 400,000 bet, prompting Ochana to call.

Gheba Doubles Through Hart

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Daniyal Gheba
Daniyal Gheba

Daniyal Gheba raised 400,000 with K9. Action folded to Brent Hart in the big blind, and he defended with Q9.

Then, the situation became rather spicy.

The dealer fanned K69 on the flop, giving Hart middle pair and four to the flush. Gheba had flopped top two pair.

Hart checked, Gheba bet 550,000, and Hart called.

The turn produced Q, giving Hart two pair, which was inferior to Gheba’s hand. Hart once again checked, and Gheba fired out a 700,000 bet. Hart almost beat Gheba into the pot by announcing an all-in bet, which covered Gheba’s stack.

Gheba went in the tank, contemplating his next move. After moments elapsed, Gheba put his tournament life on the life with a call.

Hart needed any queen or a club to show up, but the 2 on the river sent the massive 8,850,000 pot to Gheba and placed a large dent in Hart’s chip stack.
