Schwartz Eliminated

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz

Adam Hendrix raised from early position to 30,000 and was called by both Jake Schwartz and Moshe Refaelowitz in the blinds.

A flop of 889 saw Schwartz and Refaelowitz both check, and Hendrix bet 30,000. Schwartz made the call before Refaelowitz raised to 105,000. Hendrix and Schwartz both called.

The Q came on the turn and after Schwartz checked, Refaelowitz bet 100,000. Hendrix folded, but Schwartz shoved all in for around 315,000. Refaelowitz called.

Jake Schwartz: J9 All in
Moshe Refaelowitz: Q9x

Schwartz was drawing slim and although he improved on the J river, it wasn't enough to win him the pot.

Auckland Gains Much-Needed Chips

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

It’s been a steady decline for one of Day 1’s chip leaders, but Daniel Auckland took an opportunity to pick up chips.

After action folded around to the button, the player in position raised to 30,000.

Auckland, who was in the small blind with a short stack, made the call, and the player in the big blind folded.

The dealer fanned 54J on the flop, and Auckland checked. The player on the button asked Aukland how much he had left, and Auckland moved his hands out of the way. The player on the button then bet 20,000, which Auckland promptly called.

The K showed up on the turn, resulting in both players checking their option. The dealer placed J on the river.

Auckland moved all in and his opponent immediately folded.

Yau Loses a Chunk of Chips

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On a board of 638J, Ethan Yau bet a chunky amount of 210,000 on the turn, and the player from under the gun made the call.

The river brought a flush-completing A and after thinking it over, Yau checked it over to his opponent. After some careful consideration, the under-the-gun player decided to shove all in for 600,000, and Yau was put to the test for his stack as the two players started the hand with almost identical counts. Yau mulled it over but eventually decided on a fold.
