Samual Attracting Chips

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

After three-betting preflop in the hand prior and taking down a nice pot, Darius Samual immediately found himself in another big hand. A player opened under the gun to 10,000 and another called from middle position. Samual also called.

The flop fell Q97 and under the gun checked. The middle position player bet for 15,000 and Samual called. Then the player under the gun raised to 65,000. Middle position folded quickly but Darius Samual went into the tank. Samual ultimately decided to shove all-in for nearly 300,000.

His opponent folded AA face up and Samual dragged the large pot.

Four players were on a flop of KA10. An early position player bet 15,000 which the cutoff folded, Krasimir Yankov called in the big blind and Cary Katz also folded from early position.

The turn was the Q to put four to broadway on the board. Action went check-check.

The river came the 6. Yankov fired out 62,000 which sent his opponent deep into the tank. After several moments he elected to call.

Yankov tabled KJ for turned broadway which prompted a frustrated muck from his opponent as Yankov moves into one of the top spots on the charts.

Chris Moneymaker is giving it another try, opening a poker room in Kentucky, this time in Louisville.

Moneymaker Social Louisville opened Saturday, becoming the second operating brick-and-mortar card room in the state. The other one, a slightly bigger room, is located just down the street, about 15-20 minutes from the University of Louisville campus.

Opening night "went well," poker room manager Christine Russell told PokerNews. As with any new business, there "were some kinks to work out." But as Russell said, players were impressed with the initial experience.

Hopkins Wins a Flip

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joshua Hopkins was looking to eliminate a player from the field but needed to win a classic coinflip in order to do so.

Under the gun: AK All in
Joshua Hopkins: QQ

Hopkins fell behind on the 10KJ flop but improved to a straight on the A turn. His opponent still had outs to a full house but the 10 river wasn't the card he was looking for which meant Hopkins took the pot.
