The turn brought the 4 and again Ochana check-called his opponent's bet of 220,000.

Both players checked the river J and Ochana showed 55 for two pair before Hopkins mucked his cards.

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Brian Rast raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Sam Soverel defended his big blind.

The two checked it down to the river on the 847J2 board and Soverel led out for 250,000 chips, which was the size of the pot. Rast went into the tank for around two minutes and seemed as if he wanted to call, but eventually made the fold.

Ved Eliminates Sun

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jianfeng Sun shoved all in from the hijack for around 400,000 and Kartik Ved called from the button.

Jianfeng Sun: KJ All in
Kartik Ved: AK

Ved was in a commanding position to eliminate another player and did just that as the runout of 345Q9 didn't offer any help to Sun.

Snowman On the River Sees Soverel's Tournament Melt Away

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Sam Soverel

Shant Marashlian opened to 100,000 in the hijack and Sam Soverel shoved all in from the button for almost 750,000. When the action got back to Marahlian, he decided to make the call which put Soverel at risk.

Sam Soverel: 66 All in
Shant Marashlian: A10

This flip was crucial for Soverel and he stayed ahead on the K8K flop, but Marashlian picked up a few more outs.

The 4 turn brought Soverel one step closer to a double-up but an 8 river saw his hopes of a bracelet melt away as his pocket sixes were now counterfeited.

2024 WSOP $25K Fantasy Hands of the Week: Negreanu Flips Big and a Miracle Queen for Jaka

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

The $25K Fantasy league is off to a hot start with seven of the 19 teams over 100 points as of June 4. Most of those were thanks to a handful of draftees hitting field bonuses in Event #5: $1,000 Mystery Millions, which attracted 18,409 entrants and became the sixth-largest poker tournament of all time.

PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates, and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with a $25K Fantasy badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the $25K Fantasy badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “$25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by $25K Fantasy players.

As a result, we can capture some of the biggest, best, and most game-changing hands involving the $25K Fantasy roster. Here are five from the first week of action in the 2024 WSOP.
