Almagableh Makes a Straight to Send Out Bunch

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jared Bleznick under the gun and Abdul Almagableh in the small blind limped before John Bunch checked his option.

The dealer fanned a flop of J83, and Almagableh checked to Bunch who fired 11,000. Bleznick quickly folded and Almagableh put in the maximum raise of 57,000. Bunch called.

When the 10 hit the turn, Almagableh continued for 75,000 and Bunch stuck around with a call.

The Q completed the board on the river and Almagableh dropped a stack of reds across the line. Bunch called off his stack of about 20,000 to see the KK96 of Almagableh. Bunch rolled his hand over but the dealer mucked them quickly as he waited for his payout tag.

Gabriel Spikes Turn to Triple, Kurshumi Exits

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a three-way flop of J92, all of the chips went into the middle between Thomas Gabriel, Jonathan Bowers, and Ardit Kurshumi, with Bowers covering.

Ardit Kurshumi: AQ105All in
Thomas Gabriel: KK107All in
Jonathan Bowers: AJ109

Bowers was in the lead with his top two pair, but the turn Q was gin for Gabriel as he made the nut straight to go with his heart draw. He still needed to fade a club, jack, or king, but the river was the brick 6 and he scooped the pot for the triple, eliminating Kurshumi.

Price Doesn't Double

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Tareq Sirhan raised to 15,000 from under the gun and Robert Price in the cutoff three-bet to 54,000 to keep 3,000 behind. The action folded to Steven Abitbol, who made the call from the big blind. Sirhin potted to 219,000 for Price to make the call with his last chips. Abitbol needed some more time, he glanced at his cards a few times, counted out his stack, and then reluctantly folded.
