Barrera's Flush is King

Level 33 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Orlando Barrera raised from the button and was called by both the small blind and big blind.

Action checked through on a 922 flop.

On the Q turn card the small blind bet 625,000, the big blind folded, and Barrera made the call.

The river was the 9. This time the small blind bet 1,000,000. Barrera then chose to raise to 2,500,000. His opponent took some time before deciding to fold.

Barrera showed the table K8, good for a king high flush.

Kim Leaves Opponent Shaking Head

Level 32 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Sung Pil Kim raised in early position, and the player to his immediate left called.

Action folded around the table to bring the flop.

The dealer fanned J6Q on the board, prompting Kim to lead out with a 600,000 bet. His opponent announced an all-in bet, which put Kim at risk. After a brief moment, Kim made the call.

Sung Pil Kim: AK All in
Opponent: AQ

Kim was behind, as his opponent flopped top pair with top kicker. Kim was drawing to gut-shot straight or any king to take the lead, and he nailed the turn when 10 appeared, much to the chagrin of his opponent, who shook his head in disbelief.

The 8 appeared on the river, giving Kim a full double up and leaving his opponent to stare as the dealer pushed the pot to Kim.

Shaffer Makes the Correct Call

Level 32 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Brett Shaffer
Brett Shaffer

On a flop of Q8K, Tyler Barnes had bet 1,300,000 from the hijack. He was called by Brett Shaffer in the cutoff before the player in middle position folded.

Barnes checked the 9 turn to which Shaffer bet 1,700,000. Barnes stuck around with a call.

The A river saw Barnes check again. Shaffer bet 2,700,000 and was immediately met by an all-in shove from Barnes. The shove was for Shaffer's remaining 6,000,000 chips. Shaffer took close to four minutes before the clock was called on him. Just as the floor staff started to count down from ten seconds, Shaffer slid in the call.

Barnes showed A10 for a pair of aces. Shaffer flipped up KQ for two pair, and scooped a massive pot.
