Kanai Takes the Rest of Schultz’s Chips

Matthew Schultz raised first to act and Yuichi Kanai three-bet from the cutoff. Action folded back to Schultz, who called.

Schultz drew two and Kanai drew one on the first draw. Schultz then check-called a bet from Kanai.

On the second draw, Schultz drew one and Kanai stood pat. Schultz check-called all in facing another bet from Kanai.

Schultz drew one again and Kanai stood pat on the final draw. Kanai revealed 8x7x5x4x3x and it turned out Schultz was already drawing to an inferior hand — eliminating him from the tournament.

At another table, Ryutaro Suzuki was also eliminated.

Lazar announced, “Number three,” and fanned out 7x6x5x3x2x — eliminating Dakake late in the evening.
