Hellmuth Gives up on the River

Level 13 : Limits 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

John Elliott opened in the cutoff and both Phil Hellmuth, and Bradley Webert called in the blinds.

When the 1092 flop hit the felt, Hellmuth took the lead firing a bet. Webert folded but Elliott made the call.

The 4 landed on the turn, and Hellmuth continued with another bet. Elliott called to see the 4 river.

Hellmuth slowed down this time with a check, and went in the tank after facing a bet from Elliott. After about 30 seconds, Hellmuth mucked his hand.

"I almost called you down with king-high," Hellmuth said as the dealer began to shuffle.
