The $25K Fantasy league is starting to see some separation as Team The Dinkers (Josh Kay) has opened up a nice lead of 478 points, which is a good bit ahead of both Team Sternheimer (330 points) and Team Oz (251 points). Of the 19 teams, six have failed to cross the 100-point mark, while Team Chingas (19 points) and Team Lucky (17 point) at the bottom of the pack.
PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with a $25K Fantasy badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the $25K Fantasy badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “$25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by $25K Fantasy players.
As a result, we can capture some of the biggest, best, and most game-changing hands involving the $25K Fantasy roster. Here are five from the last week of action in the 2024 WSOP.

Three players saw the 10♠10♣2♠ flop and both Blake Hernandez and Nick Caltabiano checked to Frank Yakubson who put out a bet. Hernandez check-raised and only Yakubson called.
The 7♣ fell on the turn and Hernandez continued with a bet, and Yakubson made the call.
When the Q♠ fell on the river, Hernandez bet once again and tank-called a raise from Yakubson.
Yakubson rolled A♠8♠ for a flush to drag the pot, and Hernandez showed his A♦10♥ before the dealer mucked his hand.

On a heads-up completed board of 4♦10♣3♥A♣Q♣, there was around 130,000 in the pot when David "Bakes" Baker moved all in for his last 15,000.
His opponent, Jorge Ufano, then went deep into the tank for this one. After almost two minutes, he shook his head and slid in his cards to award the pot to Baker.
"I don't think you are bluffing there," Ufano said as Baker raked in the pot.
"If I was bluffing there, I probably would have shown it and be taking pictures, so I think you're good...but who knows..." Baker replied with a smile.

After a series of raises before the flop, Jason Papastavrou was at risk for his last 28,000 and it was Daniel Vampan looked for the knockout.
Jason Papastavrou: 5♥5♣
Daniel Vampan: A♦A♠
Unfortunately for Papastavrou he ran into the best starting hand in the deck and couldn't find a five as the board ran out 10♥8♦3♦4♠A♣, sending him home on the stone bubble.
The remaining 38 players are guaranteed a payout of $6,024, however, all eyes are on the first-place prize of $148,635, and the WSOP gold bracelet.

Phil Hellmuth limped the small blind and Bradley Webert checked his option.
The dealer fanned a flop of A♠K♣5♦, and Hellmuth fired a bet. Webert called.
The 10♣ turn and the 5♠ river received checks from both players and Hellmuth announced jack-high. Webert pulled in the pot with a pair of kings when he tabled K♠6♠.

After getting most of his chips into the middle preflop, Blake Hernandez got the rest of them in on the flop of K♣4♣10♦ and was called by Alex Keating.
"I think I got this one," Hernandez said as he tabled 10♠10♣ for a set of tens versus the A♠9♠ of Keating.
The runout of 7♥J♠ changed nothing and Hernandez was pushed the pot for the double.

Brian Tate opened under the gun and Daniel Budovsky three-bet on the button. Kerry Welsh called in the big blind, and Tate made the call as well.
The dealer spread a flop of Q♣9♣6♠ and the action checked to Budovsky who fired a bet. Only Welsh called.
The 10♣ turn was checked through to see the 6♥ on the river and Welsh fired a bet. Budovsky called.
Welsh tabled K♣10♠, for a pair of tens on the turn and Budovsky mucked his hand while saying, "You deserve that one."
