Budovsky Sends Welsh Home to His Wife

Level 18 : Limits 12,000/24,000, 0 ante
Kerry Welsh

"I told my wife i would make it to dinner earlier, but now I can only make it to dessert," birthday boy Kerry Welsh joked as he put most of his chips into the middle preflop and Daniel Budovsky just called.

On the flop A78, Welsh moved the rest of his chips in and Budovsky quickly called.

"I think I send you to your wife this time," he said as he rolled over A8 for two pair.

"Yeah, I think you got it," Welsh replied as he tabled 55, needing some help.

The runout of J4 changed nothing and Budovsky was awarded the pot while Welsh went off to celebrate his birthday with his wife, now $3,024 richer.

Top Two for Budovsky

Level 18 : Limits 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Florian Pesce opened under the gun and Daniel Budovsky three-bet next to act. The action folded back around to Pesce and he made the call.

Both players checked to the AK610 turn where Pesce fired a bet and Budovsky called.

The 8 fell on the river and Pesce shot another bet across the line.

Budovsky gave it a few seconds of thought while saying aloud, "I don't know if I'm good enough to fold this hand. I have ace-king, I call."

Budosky rolled over AK, and Pesce silently pushed his cards face down into the muck.

Roland Israelashvili

William Kakon raised on the button and Roland Israelashvili defended the big blind.

When the QQ4 flop hit the felt, Israelashvili check-called a bet.

The 6 hit the turn and Israelashvili check-called another bet from Kakon, and the J completed the board on the river.

Israelashvili checked once more and Kakon fired a bet. Israelashvili wasted no time making the call.

"You win," said Kakon as he pitched his cards into the muck. Israelashvili tabled J7 as the dealer pushed him the pot.

King-High No Good for Hellmuh

Level 18 : Limits 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

After check-calling for two streets on the board J1047, Phil Hellmuth checked once more on the river 2 and Robert Wells decided to check back.

Hellmuth then flipped over KQ for a missed straight and king-high, which looked like it was going to be good for a second, but then Wells rolled over A9 for ace-high to take the pot.

Tate Triples

Level 18 : Limits 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

After a series of raises before the flop Brian Tate was all-in for 47,000, while Florian Pesce and Daniel Maczuga both put 48,000 in the middle.

The dealer fanned a flop of 642, and Maczuga check-called a bet from Pesce.

When the K hit the turn, Maczuga check-folded to another bet from Pesce and both hands were tabled.

Brian Tate: KK All in
Florian Pesce: 88

Tate was way out in front with his pocket tens and the 7 river changed nothing as he raked in the triple-up.

Kakon Falls Short; Eliminated Shortly After

Level 18 : Limits 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

William Kakon had just run into the aces of Alex Keating a couple of hands prior to fall short-stacked and was back in the mix as he raised under the gun. Frank Yakubson three-bet next to act, and Nick Caltabiano called in the big blind. Kakon called for his last 30,000.

When the 1084 flop hit the felt, Caltabiano quickly check-folded to a bet from Yakubson.

William Kakon: Q4
Frank Yakubson: K10

Both players flopped a pair but Yakubson was ahead with his pair of tens. The 3 turn and 5 river were no help for Kakon as he stood up from the table.
