Smith’s Stack Soars after Knockout, then Cracking Kings

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Moments after sending Hugo Nazar to the rail with 55 against 22, Shawn Smith found himself in another big hand.

After facing a three-bet from Mikael Anderson, Smith responded with a four-bet, moving all in for 3,075,000 against Anderson, who had Smith covered. Anderson immediately called to bloat the pot.

Mikael Anderson: KK

The dealer fanned 932 on the flop, keeping Anderson in the lead. The turn, however, put Smith ahead when A appeared. The dealer placed 7 on the river, which provided Smith a boost to his stack and crippled Anderson.
