Hennigan Forces Aldridge Out

Level 8 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player had already gone all in for around 5,000 chips when a flop of 444 was spread, but the main action was happening between John Hennigan in the big blind and Ken Aldridge in the cutoff, who had a side pot of 33,600 brewing.

Hennigan decided to bet the pot, amounting to 51,100. Aldridge spent a few minutes in the tank before the clock was called. Without reaching the end of his countdown, Aldridge made the fold to create a heads up showdown.

All-in player: AKJ42 All in
John Hennigan: AA852

Hennigan was awarded the side pot, while the 9 turn locked up the pot for the player with quad fours, tripling him up. The 3 river completed the board, after which Aldridge lamented that he would have made nines full on the turn, which meant that he would have won the gigantic side pot had he made the call.
