Al-Shanti Holds with Queens; Chee Exits

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

After a preflop betting war, Edmond Chee moved all in and Abdullah Al-Shanti snap-called, putting himself at risk.

Abdullah Al-Shanti: QQAll in
Edmond Chee: K10

"WHAT!?" Al-Shanti was amazed at what he was up against," Please let queens hold one time! I didn't even want them, just give me nines all day!"

Fortunately for him, the runout of 34J25 meant his queens did in fact hold and he was pushed the pot for a double.

After the official count was made, Chee was left with a single 5,000 chip and was eliminated a few hands later.

Langianese Gets It in Good

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The player in middle position raised to 60,000, John Perry three-bet jammed for his last 550,000 from the hijack and Jason Langianese cold called the bet for his effective stack of 480,000, from the cutoff. The original raiser folded.

Perry just marginally covered Langianese so the outcome of this pot was crucial for both players. The dealer spread the five-card run out of 261043, giving Langianese a flush to double him up.
