Isaac Haxton opened to 500,000 in middle position and Michael Jozoff three-bet to 2,910,000 in the hijack before Viktor Blom four-bet to 4,135,000. Haxton folded and Jozoff called off for 1,200,000 more.
Michael Jozoff: K♦Q♦
Viktor Blom: A♣K♣
Jozoff was dominated and couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out 10♠J♥7♥J♣10♣ to mark Jozoff's elimination in ninth place.
Chris Hunichen made it 400,000 to go with the 10♦9♦ and Jeremy Ausmus three-bet to 1,000,000 with the K♠Q♥, which Hunichen called. On the 8♥8♠5♣ flop, Hunichen opted to check and Ausmus continued for 850,000 to take down the pot uncontested.
Chance Kornuth raised to 1,900,000 with 405,000 behind and Chris Hunichen called with the A♠Q♥ from two seats over. Aleksejs Ponakovs then pushed all-in out of the cutoff and Kornuth called all-in, Hunichen folded.
Chance Kornuth: 9♥9♣
Aleksejs Ponakovs: A♥K♦
The flip went to Kornuth as he improved to a set on the 10♠9♦5♣K♥J♥ runout to deliver a near triple up, while Hunichen would have made broadway.
Daniel Aharoni opened to 400,000 with A♥K♥ and was called only by Aleksejs Ponakovs in the big blind with the 5♠4♣. The 10♦10♠9♥ flop was checked by both players to see the 6♥ on the turn. Ponakovs opted to check again and so did Aharoni with the two overcards and ace-high flush draw.
They also checked the 10♣ river and Aharoni won the pot.
Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the eighth episode, Connor speaks with legendary UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer in an exclusive in-depth interview after Buffer's deep run in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $50,000 High Roller. Buffer, a longtime poker player, finished in eighth place for a career-best $212,423 after kicking off Day 3 with his trademark "it's time" introduction.
Buffer talked about finding his long-lost half-brother, Michael Buffer, and becoming his manager, the early days of the UFC, the similarities between poker and martial arts, his relationships with Joe Rogan and Dana White, playing poker with Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio and the time he injured himself in a poker tournament before announcing the biggest UFC fight in history.
This interview was filmed at the 2024 WSOP inside Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Michael Jozoff pushed all-in for 1,680,000 as the shortest stack on the table and Viktor Blom in the big blind mulled it over with the largest stack at his disposal.
Michael Jozoff: A♦K♥
Viktor Blom: 2♠2♣
The board ran out 10♥10♦5♠K♦J♣ and Jozoff leaped back into contention.

As of now, all PokerNews updates will be on a delay of at least half an hour to not spoil any of the action of the PokerGO stream. The tournament will be on a dinner break at the end of level 21.
Chris Hunichen made it 400,000 from the hijack and Justin Bonomo called from the big blind.
On the 9♦Q♦A♠ flop, Bonomo check-called a bet of 250,000 from Hunichen.
The 4♠ hit the turn and Bonomo checked again, then Hunichen fired another bet of 800,000. Bonomo called.
When the 2♠ landed on the river, Bonomo checked for a third time and Hunichen shoved all in. Bonomo had just over 2,000,000 and made a very quick call.
Hunichen flipped K♠J♠ for the nut flush, and Bonomo had Q♠10♠ for the second nut flush.
