Action was picked up on a board of 8♣2♠10♥9♣6♣ with Shaun Deeb all-in and at risk from late position against an opponent in middle position.
Shaun Deeb: K♦J♠9♦7♦
Opponent: A♥K♣X♦8♥
Deeb's turned straight was enough to win the pot and keep him alive in the tournament.
Action picked up with a very tense moment in which on a A♠2♦9♦ flop Juha Helppi had bet 13,200 from late position. His opponent, the player in middle position on his immediate right, was deep in the tank. After a few pained moments the opponent folded and Helppi scooped a large pot.
Margarette Gayao opened in the hijack and called a three-bet of 4,800 from Shaun Deeb on the button.
The dealer spread a flop of Q♥6♦3♥ and Gayao checked to Deeb who fired 10,000 across the line. Gayao snap-jammed for 13,600 and Deeb called to send both hands on their backs.
Margarette Gayao: A♠Q♠Q♦J♦
Shaun Deeb: A♥K♣9♦7♥
Gayao flopped top set and faded the nut flush draw of Deeb as the dealer dropped the 10♠ on the turn and the 7♦ on the river.
Three players saw the Q♣J♠5♦ flop and the action checked to Kenneth Hernandez in the hijack who fired a pot-sized bet of 4,400. James Chen check-called, while the third player in the hand check-folded.
The 9♥ fell on the turn and Chen led for 2,000, which was Hernandez' full stack. Hernandez called and both hands were tabled.
Kenneth Hernandez: A♠K♣J♥10♠
James Chen: Q♠Q♥9♠7♣
Chen had flopped top set, but the turn gave Hernandez a straight to take the lead and Hernandez was able to fade the board pairing as the 3♣ landed on the river.
