Helppi Gets Paid, Stacks Opponent

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Juha Helppi opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 1,000. The cutoff and small blind both called before the big blind three-bet to 9,000. Helppi four-bet to 22,000 and only the cutoff called.

Action went check-check on Q108 before Helppi fired 15,000 on the 5 turn. His opponent made the call.

Helppi asked for all of his opponent's stack firing 23,500 on the 2 river. His opponent quickly called and showed JJ. Helppi tabled AA for the winner.

Becker Pays off a River Bet

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a board of 3953, the small blind checked, the big blind bet 2,100, Jeremy Becker called, the small blind raised to 10,000, the big blind folded, and Becker called.

The river brought a K and the small blind bet 28,000. Becker was thinking for a while but eventually made the call.

The small blind confidently flipped over A3 for trips, and Becker mucked his hand.

Gleissner Shows One

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Bernd Gleissner opened to 1,700 from the cutoff and was called by a player in the small blind before Kristen Foxen three-bet to 6,500 from the big blind. Gleissner made the call while the small blind got out of the way.

On the Q1010 flop, Foxen bet 4,000 and Gleissner called.

Foxen checked the 4 turn, Gleissner bet 5,000 and Foxen quickly folded. Gleissner revealed the 4 from his hand before dragging in the pot.

Nasreddine Misses Her Draw

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Samuel Ju raised to 1,300 from the hijack and Rania Nasreddine called from the cutoff. The button then squeezed to 4,500, both Ju and Nasreddine called.

After the action checked to the button on the 358 flop, he fired out a bet of 2,500. Ju folded but Nasreddine check-raised all in for around 18,000. The button snap-called and the cards were revealed.

Funaro Check-Raises the River

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Nacho Barbero opened to 1,400 from under the gun and received calls from a player in the cutoff, a player in the small blind and Nicholas Funaro in the big blind.

All four players checked the K93 flop leading to the 5 turn. Action then checked around to the cutoff who bet 3,000. Only Funaro made the call.

Funaro checked again on the 7 river and the cutoff bet 7,000. Funaro raised to 22,000 and after taking a minute to decide the cutoff opted to fold.

Wongwichit Hits Broadway

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Jesse Lonis raised from the cutoff to 1,500, and Phachara Wongwichit called out of the big blind.

On the AK9 flop, Wongwichit check-called a bet of 1,700 from Lonis.

They both checked the 7 turn to the J river. Wongwichit led out for 9,200, leaving himself just a single chip worth 100 behind. Lonis thought it over before he eventually tossed in a calling chip.

Wongwichit tabled Q10 for the nuts with Broadway, and Lonis mucked.

Farrell Doubles

Niall Farrell was all in and at risk in the hijack position vs. the cutoff opponent.

With 16,200 in the middle, the board ran out 3AK75 and Farrell doubled, extending his tournament life.

On a board of 244K3, Roberto Perez bet enough to put his opponent Kristen Foxen all-in. Foxen thought briefly before making the call. Perez showed AK which was good as Foxen flipped over A3.

Foxen stated that she might rebuy into the event later.

On a board of 3108, the player in the small blind had checked over to Kannapong Thanarattrakul, who bet 1,500. The small blind then made it 5,500, and Thanarattrakul three-bet to 11,500. The small blind called.

Both checked the 6 turn to see a 2 on the river. The small blind shoved all in, which put Thanarattrakul to the test for his remaining 29,800 chips. After some time in the tank, the player from Thailand made the call.

The small blind flipped over Q9 for a missed straight draw, but Thanarattrakul had the winner holding JJ.
