Li Overbets and Wins

Level 10

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Yingui Li opened to 3,000 from under the gun and was called by the small blind.

Both players drew one card. The action checked to Li who bet 10,500. The small blind was pained by the decision but decided to toss in calling chips. Li revealed 9x7x6x5x2x to scoop the pot.

Engel Wins a Small Pot Without Showdown

Level 10

Pot-Limit Omaha

After a limp and a min-raise to 2,000, Ari Engel called in the big blind and so did the under-the-gun limper. The trio checked the J105 flop before Engel bet the J turn for 2,800 and the 9 river for 3,200. One caller came first, but the final bet was enough to force a fold for Engel to win the pot.

Kyablue Scores a KO

Level 9

No-Limit Hold'Em

The under the gun player raised to 1,800, then the cutoff jammed for 20,000. In the big blind, Xavier Kyablue moved in covering both players, and the under the gun player let it go.

"That can't be good," bemoaned the cutoff as the cards hit their backs.

Cutoff: AJ All in
Xavier Kyablue: AK

The board ran out 853QA and Xavier eliminated his opponent as his stack continues to grow.

Dzivielevski Leads Even After a Bluff

Level 9
Ryan Leng
Ryan Leng

Pot-Limit Omaha

In a single-raised pot to the 1088 flop, Yuri Dzivielevski checked out of the big blind and Ryan Leng checked it back from the hijack. Dzivielevski then bet the 10 turn for 2,700 and the 6 river for 6,500. Leng called both times and was shown the AJ33 by Dzivielevski, which he had beat with the AxA97 for a straight in a duel of the big stacks.

Dzivielevski still has more chips at his disposal but Leng is catching up fast as of recently.

Updated Counts in the Field

Defending champion Ryutaro Suzuki was spotted in the field with a stack below what he started with. Yet the title defence is still very doable with another three and a half levels to be played on Day 1.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Wing Po Liu had lost a big pot and then joined the fray when four players invested 2,100 each to see a flop of A102. It checked to Liu and he bet the pot by tossing in two T-5,000 chips, which won the pot uncontested.

Fellow Hong Kong PLO bracelet winner Anson Tsang can also be found in the field and has more than three times as many chips right now after the end of the late registration.

Hachem Loses a Big Pot

Level 8

Razz

Joe Hachem approached the live reporting to recall a three-way Razz hand in which the boards rather resembled other Stud variants and he "had to check the plaques four times "to make sure he was not going crazy.

According to Hachem, he had the KxAx8x2x showing and was up against two opponents which ended up with 4x3xAx / Qx7x2xJx and Qx6x2x / AxJx7x3x respectively to see the Aussie lose a pot of around 60,000 with two raises going into the middle on fourth and fifth street. That would have boosted his stack significantly while he instead dropped to fewer than the starting stack.

New on Hachem's table is Ben Yu, while Christian Roberts remains the biggest stack.

Henson Drops in the Pecking Order

Level 8
Vladimir Peck
Vladimir Peck

Seven-Card Stud

Ray Henson: XxXx / 10K88 / Xx
Vladimir Peck: AAJ / A1098

Vladimir Peck bet sixth and seventh street when checked to by Ray Henson, who tossed in calling chips both times. Peck tabled his set of aces and joked "but I couldn't make a full house".

Both then chatted back and forth with Peck claiming "I bet and raised you all the time" throughout the hand.

Henson replied "you didn't raise me, you just bet" to which Peck replied "because you didn't bet".

Peck has soared well past Henson in the purple section, which currently features five tables in play.
