Mateos Wants to Play for It All

Level 18 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Ben Tollerene raised to 500,000 from middle position and Adrian Mateos called in the cutoff.

The 27K flop saw Tollerene continue for 350,000. Mateos didn't back down.

Tollerene bet another 750,000 on the 9 turn. Mateos raised to 2,500,000 and Tollerene made the call.

The 3 river saw Tollerene play in flow. Mateos thought for some time before placing a bet of 5,075,000; an effective all-in with just 25,000 left behind the line. Tollerene confirmed the count before pitching his cards into the muck.

Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Seth Gottlieb moved all in for 925,000 from the cutoff before Chris Hunichen rejammed for 1,975,000 from the button. Jonathan Jaffe folded in the small blind to put the action on Taylor von Kriegenbergh. He thought over his options before flicking in calling chips.

Seth Gottlieb: A7All in
Chris Hunichen: A10All in
Taylor von Kriegenbergh: A3

The 3 was in the window but followed by the 108 to keep Hunichen ahead. Gottlieb was in rough shape and was eliminated after the K turn and J river. Hunichen took both the main and side pot for a big boost to his stack.

Mateos Scoops a Big Pot with Just King High

Level 17 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Adrian Mateos raised to 400,000 from early position, receiving a call from Ben Tollerene, in the big blind.

The 699 flop checked through to the J on the turn. Tollerene checked again and Materos bet out 650,000. Tollerene check-raised to 1,900,000 and Mateos called.

The 9 fell on the river and both players took a considerable amount of time, considering all their options, before checking to a showdown.

Tollerene tabled Q10 for a missed straight draw, while Mateos held K7 for a missed flush draw. However, Mateos' king-high was good at showdown and he scooped this big pot.

Brian Kim opened to 450,000 from the hijack before Jared Bleznick moved all in for 1,600,000 from the small blind.

As Kim thought over his options, Bleznick said:

"Best hand I've seen in three hours."

Kim puffed out his cheeks and put in calling chips for the cards to go on their backs.
