Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the ninth episode, Connor speaks with poker streamer and reality TV star Kevin Martin, who opened up about his experience on the hit GGPoker show Game of Gold and gave some insight into his upcoming appearance on The Amazing Race Canada, which Martin told PokerNews will be the "final chapter" of his reality TV career.
Martin also talked about get cast for Big Brother Canada when he was 22, winning Big Brother Season 5, the traits that make for a good reality TV contestant, the early days of poker streaming, prop bets with Dan "Jungleman" Cates and the evolution of poker content creation.
Joao Vieira announced pot as the first player to act and Bryce Yockey called on the button.
Vieira announced pot again on the 7♠6♠10♥ flop and Yockey raised all in. Vieira called off for his remaining stack.

Vieira had queens and a flush draw while he needed to dodge Yockey's wrap outs. The 5♣ turn gave Yockey the straight before the 3♥ river confirmed Vieira's elimination on the unofficial final table bubble.

Johannes Becker completed, Phil Ivey raised, and Becker reraised. Ivey called as Becker bet again on fourth street.
Ivey called to fifth where Becker bet. Ivey then moved all in for 245,000 and Becker called.
Becker turned over A♠8♠10♥Q♦ for a pair of aces, while Ivey had a pair of fives showing with 10♠5♥ heading to sixth. He caught the 9♦ on sixth to make nines and fives, while the Q♠ completed his board to earn him a double up.
Johannes Becker opened on the button with 2♠2♦ and Daniel Negreanu called in the small blind with A♥6♥ as Phil Ivey called in the big blind with 8♠4♠.
The flop of 5♥10♦7♣ checked through hand Negreanu checked again on the 7♠ turn before Ivey bet 150,000 with his gutshot. Becker folded and Negreanu called.
Negreanu checked again on the A♣ river and Ivey checked back as Negreanu showed his rivered top pair to win the pot.
David Benyamine limped in as the first player to act and Joao Vieira completed in the small blind as Jeremy Ausmus checked his option in the big blind.
The flop of 9♣2♣J♠ checked through and Vieira checked again on the 7♦ turn. Ausmus bet 125,000 and Benyamine raised to 550,000 to bring a quick fold from Vieira. Ausmus also folded.
