Kane Kalas called the 6,000 big blind, and Kevin Rabichow went all-in for 106,000. After taking a few seconds to contemplate, Kalas made the call and put Rabichow at risk.
Kevin Rabichow K♥Q♦
Kane Kalas A♦6♥
The flop of 5♥4♠2♠ didn't bring any backdoor outs for Rabichow, and the 7♦ on the turn left him needing a king or queen to stay alive. The A♠ on the river gave Kalas a pair of aces, and officially eliminated Rabichow from the tournament.
Kalas will play Owen Messere in round 3 when play resumes tomorrow.
Faraz Jaka explained to PokerNews that Ignacio Moron shoved for around 13 big blinds on the button and Jaka called to put him at risk.
Ignacio Moron: 9x10x
Faraz Jaka: Kx4x
The board ran out QxKx4x5x9x — keeping Faraz best with kings-up to eliminate Moron.
As action picked up on the turn with 37,000 in the pot, Sam Soverel was facing a bet of 26,000 from Alex Keating, when Soverel decided to raise all in on a 8♦J♦6♣7♥ board. After doing a quick count of his stack, Keating made the call.
Alex Keating A♦J♦
Sam Soverel J♥9♣
Soverel had top pair and an open ended straight draw but would need to improve on the river to knockout Keating. The board was completed with the 10♣ on the river, giving Keating the double up with his top pair, top kicker, and back within striking distance of Soverel, raking in the 279,000 chip pot.
On a flop of J♦2♥2♠, Mike Shi bet 18,000 and Nikolai Mamut called on the button.
Mamut then called a 40,000 bet from Shi on the A♣ turn.
The K♣ completed the board and Shi shoved for 84,900 total. Mamut used up three time extensions, but opted to put in a call.
Shi turned over 9♦2♦ for trip deuces, which was best against Mamut for the double-up.
At another table, Ian Matakis was eliminated by Darius Samual.

With only 30,000 chips remaining, Matthew Higgins raised all-in and James Gorham in the big blind called.
Matthew Higgins K♥8♣
James Gorham 2♥2♠
The flop was no help for Higgins when it ran out 6♥5♣3♣, however the 9♠ turn did give Higgins some extra outs. Now being able to hit a seven for a straight, to go along with a king or an eight. Unfortunately for Higgins, the river was the 10♥, and the deuces held for Gorham, and he eliminated Higgins from the tournament.
Gorham will face the winner of the Michael Shi and Nikolai Mamut match, tomorrow in round three.
On a board of 10♥A♠3♣10♣Q♦, with roughly 45,000 in the middle, Ben Tollerene checked and Weston Mizumoto fired out a bet of 40,000.
