Zhang Caught Slipping

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Branden Shimamoto raised to 1,200,000 from the cutoff and Sihao Zhang defended the big blind. On a 654 flop, Zhang opted to lead out for 950,000 and Shimamoto called.

The turn was the 8 and Zhang kept up the aggression with a bet of 2,600,000. Shimamoto called another street to see the A roll off on the river. Zhang emptied the clip with a bet of 4,000,000 and Shimamoto called it off after some thought.

Zhang indicated Shimamoto was good and the latter revealed KK. Zhang didn't show and mucked his hand.

Kenny Huynh

Luke Varrasso raised to 1,300,000 from early position, Kenny Huynh three-bet to 2,700,000 in middle position, and Varrasso called. The flop was K104 and Varrasso check-called 2,300,000 from Huynh. The 5 on the turn got checked by both players.

The river was the J and Varrasso shoved all in, putting Huynh to the test for his remaining 10,700,000 in chips. The bracelet winner sunk back in his chair and briefly pondered before sliding in the call.

Varrasso slammed AQ onto the felt for the rivered Broadway, Huynh flashed AA and was eliminated.
