Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the ninth episode, Connor speaks with poker streamer and reality TV star Kevin Martin, who opened up about his experience on the hit GGPoker show Game of Gold and gave some insight into his upcoming appearance on The Amazing Race Canada, which Martin told PokerNews will be the "final chapter" of his reality TV career.
Martin also talked about get cast for Big Brother Canada when he was 22, winning Big Brother Season 5, the traits that make for a good reality TV contestant, the early days of poker streaming, prop bets with Dan "Jungleman" Cates and the evolution of poker content creation.
The hijack raised to 1,400 and Lara Eisenberg called on the button.
The 8♣5♠K♠ saw a continuation of 1,500 from the hijack. Eisenberg called.
The 10♥ turn checked through to the 5♦ on the river. The hijack checked again and Eisenberg bet out 4,500. The hijack called. Eisenberg tabled K♥Q♠ for top pair, shipping the pot in her direction.
Middle position opened the action with a raise to 1,400 before Konstantin Puchkov three-bet to 5,100 from the cutoff. His opponent made the call.
Puchkov continued for 5,100 on Q♠10♣5♣ and the middle position player called.
Action went check-check on the 2♠ turn before middle position fired 5,500 on the A♥ river. Puchkov raised to 18,500 and his opponent quickly called. Puchkov rolled over K♥J♣ for the nuts while middle position showed A♣Q♣ before frustratingly mucking.
Middle position opened the action with a raise to 1,200. Mark Fisher three-bet to 3,300 from the small blind before middle position four-bet jammed his last 29,200 into the middle. Fisher went into the tank but found a call.

A fair fight, the dealer put out A♥Q♦9♣K♥4♣ and Fisher's pair of Aces were good enough to drag the pot in and stack his opponent.
The action was caught with the pot stood at 6,900 with two players looking at a flop of J♦Q♣8♥.
The small blind had a wager of 4,000 laying in front of them. Michael Feldstein, who was under the gun, moved all in for 12,400. The small blind made the call.

Feldstein's flopped set was way out in front, and managed to dodge a ten on the 2♥ turn and 5♠ river, doubling him up.
Matt Glantz raised to 1,200 from the button and the big blind three-bet jammed for 28,500. Glantz spent some time in the tank before deciding to make the call.

Glantz took a commanding lead on the 10♣7♦J♦ flop. The Q♣ turn and 5♦ river gave the big blind a pair, but it wasn't good enough to avoid being sent to the rail.
The hijack player opened the action with a raise to 1,200. Amir Assal moved all in from the button for his last 19,100 and the small blind made the call. Action was back on the hijack who reraised all in for 55,500 and the small blind went deep into the tank but eventually made the laydown.
