Wright Survives With One Third of a Blind

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pakinai Lisawad and Nino Pansier had limped in and Corey Wright in the big blind checked his option with only 4,000 behind, with which he will be forced all-in from the next small blind.

The three players checked down to the J8733 river on which Pansier bet 16,000 last to act. Wright folded and Lisawad called to get shown the J543 by the table chip leader.

Ibanez Doubles Through Bowers

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a duel big blind versus button, Johann Ibanez defended and then check-called three times on a board of K62Q6. The final bet of Jonathan Bowers on the button was worth 175,000 and Ibanez called all-in for 129,000.

While all other tables were still to finish their hands, it was already quite obvious that Ibanez was going to double up as pointed out by another player at the table.

When it was time for the showdown, Ibanez revealed the K1096 for sixes full of kings and it was good enough versus Bowers' 8742.

Locke Gets Through With a Gutsy Move

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Heads-up to the 10947 turn, Sonny Franco made it 40,000 to go in the small blind and Tobias Locke in the cutoff called. Franco then bet the K river for 30,000 and Locke moved all-in.

While Franco briefly inquired about a count, he didn't make the call and a relieved Locke turned over his AKQ6 for just a rivered top pair with the nut flush blocker.

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Noah Bronstein
Noah Bronstein

Noah Bronstein had tossed his final blind in from early position and Marco Witt and Elie Nakache created a sidepot by raising. On a flop of 486, Witt check-folded to Nakache's bet, leading to a showdown.

Noah Bronstein: AK105 All in
Elie Nakache: AA43

It was looking bleak for Bronstein, and the 4A runout made Nakache a full house to eliminate him.

On another table, Vincent Moscati was also all in for his final few chips against Raj Vohra.

Vincent Moscati: QJ97 All in
Raj Vohra: K1032

The board ran out 73533, giving quads to his opponent and eliminating Moscati.

With those two eliminations, 123 remained as the $10,000 PLO Championship entered the stone bubble.

Wasserson Doubles Through Mizrachi

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

Michael Mizrachi had raised and earned one caller in Eric Wasserson in the hijack. On the 984 flop, Mizrachi potted and sent Wasserson into a brief tank.

"I will show if you fold," Mizrachi said and Wasserson replied "no, my hand is too strong for that" before he then pushed forward his stack of 161,000. Mizrachi called and they already exposed the cards before turning them back over to wait for all other tables to finish.

When it was time for the showdown, Mizrachi held the best hand but Wasserson had a ton of equity.

Michael Mizrachi: AAKQ

The 6 turn instantly locked up the double for Wasserson and made the 7 river a formality. Action continues with 125 players remaining and 122 will be in the money.
