Big Three-Way All In Goes Swayze’s Way

Level 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

According to the players, Cara Swayze started the action with a limp from under the gun. Motyk Scott raised in early position and Vegard Ropstad called in the hijack. The player in the small blind also called, as did Swayze.

The flop came 234. Swayze and Scott checked and Ropstad bet 3,200. The small blind then went all in for 10,600. Swayze called the all in, Scott folded and Ropstad also called.

The turn came 5. Action was on Swayze and she went all in for about 45,000. Ropstad called.

Small blind: AXAll in
Cara Swayze: 55All in
Vegard Ropstad: 6x6x

Ropstad was ahead with his turned straight, while Swayze made top set and the small blind had the nut flush draw. All three players still had a chance at the pot and it was the 3 on the river that prompted Swayze to let out an excited: “Yesss!”, before the dealer counted out the stacks and sent a pile of chips her way. The player on the button was eliminated, while Ropstad was left with just a bit over ten big blinds. He was also eliminated soon after.

Benjamin Parent was on the button and jammed all in, easily covering his opponent who went into the tank. He seemed on the verge of either decision, unsure of what to do. Eventually he did fold and Parent took in the pot to add to his growing stack.

High Fives for Allan Farber in Huge Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Allan Farber and two other players saw action explode on a flop of 5Q8. The inevitable end was all three players getting in their stacks and tabling their hands.

Opponent #1: Q9 All in
Opponent #2: 88 All in
Allan Farber: 55

It was a set-over-set situation and Farber, who had the big stack, was on the bad end of it. The J turn gave one of the shorter stacks a straight draw, but Farber found salvation when the dealer delivered the 5 on the river to give him quads, the double knockout, and a huge pot!
